Is your marriage in trouble? Are the problems escalating? Are you separated from your husband or living apart? During her separation, Linda Rooks found hope in unexpected places. And so can you.
Rooks is the author of Broken Heart on Hold. I first read this book during a low point in my marriage, and it encouraged me. More important, it reminded me that God is in control.
If you’re going through a separation – physical OR emotional – I urge you to get this book. Reading it is like having a friend beside you on an otherwise lonely journey. It will give you practical insights and biblical wisdom.
Most of all, it will give you hope.

Broken Heart: Surviving Separation
After 20+ years of marriage, Rooks and her husband experienced a painful separation. But their story has a happy ending. They reconciled three years later, with a stronger marriage than before.
God worked many changes in the Rooks during their time apart, which enabled them to reunite. After a time of healing and building faith, they shifted their focus to other hurting couples.
Their story speaks to the power of God to mend and heal broken relationships (Psalm 147:3). Today, they use their marriage experiences to minister to others.
Over the years, the pair has helped hundreds of people in marital crisis. They currently teach Marriage 911 classes at their central Florida church.
Broken Heart on Hold is a good book to read if your marriage is struggling. It comes from someone who experienced separation AND the healing of her marriage. You won’t feel alone.
From Broken Marriage to Reconciliation
The Rooks share a passion to help marriages. This passion stems from the hope they found in God. He restored their marriage after three painful years of separation.
To learn how they survived their separation, watch the following television interviews. Their story will give you hope that God is in control (Psalm 46:1).
Remember: Nothing is impossible for Him (Luke 1:37).
