Happy New Year! Don’t you love new beginnings? Whatever last year held for you – peace or pain, joy or sorrow – now is a time for renewal. A clean slate. A fresh start.
Today, I’ll share my favorite Christian quotes for the new year – words that truly inspire me. I hope they’ll resonate with you, too. Keep them in mind as you make your resolutions or set your goals for the year ahead.
Not only will these new year quotes inspire you, but they’ll also help you focus on God and His plans for you. Putting Him first is important (Matthew 22:37-38) as you make a fresh start. He is the source of new beginnings, after all.

Inspiration, Passion, and Purpose
Before we get to the quotes, tell me: Do you keep a quote journal? Somewhere to record the phrases and sayings that move you? A quote journal is an excellent go-to source for extra inspiration.
There’s a saying about inspiration: It makes the work more efficient, the way easier, and the day greater. Inspiration helps you find your passion and purpose. What’s more, you are more productive when you’re passionate about something.
I love quips, quotes, and pithy sayings – especially when they inspire me to be more productive. In the past, I jotted interesting quotes in my daily planner. This year, I’ll collect them in a quote journal – something simple but elegant, like this Tree of Life notebook.
And I’ll start with the quotes on this page!
Since different quotes move different folks, my favorites may differ from yours. However, we can unite around the source of all inspiration: our good and glorious God (Psalm 113).
This post gathers my favorite new year quotes by well-known Christian “influencers” – men and women who have used their platforms for good and for God. I hope you enjoy them.
To share YOUR favorite quotes, head over to the comments. I would love to know what sayings move you to live for Christ in the new year.
And now, on to the quotes.
